An anchor or anchor link (also known as a page jump) is a special link that you can use to navigate to a certain point on a specific page. Landing pages usually use anchor links to navigate to different areas on the same page.
Add anchor link
- Select an element by clicking on it
- In the Right Toolbar, under the Advanced tab, go for Anchor name
- Assign an anchor name for the anchor. In the field Name you can optionally give the selected element a name (visible in the Page Structure).
- Now select the element that you want to link to the anchor:
- Menu item:
- Select the Menu (navigation) and within the Context Toolbar click Edit Menu
- Click on +New menu item
- Assign a name to the menu item
- Select Link and then Page on your Website
- Select the anchor you have created from the drop-down list.
- Note: You can recognize anchor links by the # in front of the name. The page on which the anchor link is located is shown in brackets).
- Confirm with Apply and in the following window again with Apply
- Image/button:
- Select the image/button
- In the Right Toolbar click on the Pencil for Editing next to No link selected
- Select Page on your Website
- Select the anchor you have created from the drop-down list
- Confirm with Apply
- For text:
- Select the part of the text you want to link to
- In the Rich Text Editor, select Link (chain symbol). Alternatively, the shortcut CTRL + K or COMMAND + K
- Select Page on your Website
- Select the anchor you have created from the drop-down list
- Confirm with Apply
