Can I integrate Google Maps without an API key?

Yes, you can also integrate Google Maps without an API key.

 

  1. Open Google Maps.

  2. Go to the directions, the map or the Street View image you want to embed.

  3. Click the top left Menu and select Share or embed map

     

  4. In the next window, select the Embed a map tab
  5. Decide on a Display Size (Small, Medium, Large, Custom) and click Copy HTML

  6. Switch to the Website Builder

  7. Drag the Advanced element to the place where you want to integrate your Google Maps map

  8. Select the Custom HTML element

  9. In the Right Toolbar, under Custom HTML, go for HTML-Code and click the Pencil for Editing

  10. Insert the Google Maps code segment with CTRL+V (Windows) or CMD+V (MacOS)

  11. Deactivate content while in builder (recommended) should be activated. This means that the code is only displayed on the published website or in the preview - but not while the website is being edited in the Website Builder.

  12. You can determine the size in the Size tab.
